Sundozero ( Sunozero , outdated. Ussun Lake [2] ) is a Russian lake in the Kondopoga region of the Republic of Karelia .

General information
The lake has an elongated shape, stretched from north to south. The shores are slightly elevated, stony, covered with coniferous forest. In the southern part of the lake are seven islands with a total area of 1.12 km².
The Suna River flows through the lake, the Niva River flows out from Lake Pyalozero .
The bottom is covered with greenish-gray silt. In the northern part of the lake is a shallow sandy area formed by sediments of the Suna River. In the southern part of the lake, opposite the source of the Suna River, there is a pit more than 40 m deep. The water is brown.
Aquatic vegetation is represented by rare thickets of reeds and floating populations.
The lake is inhabited by perch, roach, vendace, pike, whitefish, bream, smelt, burbot, ruff.
