Argiope trifasciata (lat.) Is a species of spider that lives around the world. It was first described by Per Forskol in 1775. [1] The species can be found in some areas of Europe, namely the Iberian Peninsula , the Canary Islands or the island of Madeira . [2] Considered pests in some areas, they usually begin to appear in early autumn: from early September to late October, when the ambient temperature begins to drop. Their hunting net reaches a diameter of about 60 cm. The length of the web depends on the size of the spider, and can reach a total length of up to 2 meters.
