Geography
Smolnoye village stands on the left bank of the Arsenyevka River.
Smolnoye village is located on the road south from the Osinovka-Rudnaya Pristan highway (between Novovarvarovka and Orlovka ), the distance to the highway is about 15 km, and to the Anuchino district center about 25 km.
To the north of Smolny is the village of Starovarvarovka , to the south - Vinogradovka .
In the southeastern environs is the Smolninskoe settlement, partially destroyed by the Arsenyevka River. Excavations on the site of ancient settlement made it possible to talk about the allocation in Primorye of the medieval Smolny archaeological culture. It is assumed that the Smolnians were the eastern neighbors of the Bohai state.
