Biography

Alexey Miroshnichenko was born on May 8, 1915 in the city of Karasubazar (now the city of Belogorsk in the Crimea ). After graduating from seven grades of the school, he worked as a mechanic in a machine and tractor station. In 1936, Miroshnichenko was called up for service in the USSR Navy. Since 1941 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .

By August 1944, the foreman of the 1st article, Alexei Miroshnichenko, was an assistant to the reconnaissance platoon commander of the 384th separate marines battalion of the Odessa naval base of the Black Sea Fleet . He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Odessa region of the Ukrainian SSR and Romania . On the night of August 23-24, 1944, Miroshnichenko crossed the Danube near the town of Vilkovo and, together with the reconnaissance group, captured an enemy convoy with important documents, capturing about 150 enemy soldiers and officers. During the battles for the Romanian city of Sulin, Miroshnichenko, at the head of a reconnaissance group of thirty soldiers, captured the headquarters of the German military unit, capturing all its command, which ordered its subordinates to lay down their arms [1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 6, 1945, for the "exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown", the foreman of the 1st article, Alexei Miroshnichenko, was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and Gold Star medal number 5894 [1] .

In 1946, Miroshnichenko was demobilized. He returned to his hometown, worked in the Belogorsk District Executive Committee. He died on March 19, 1976 [1] .

He was also awarded two orders of the Red Banner , orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and Glory of the 3rd degree, and a number of medals [1] .

In honor of Miroshnichenko named a street in Belogorsk [1] .
