Biography
Pavel Mironov was born on December 12, 1919 in the village of Russian Sarsazy (now the Chistopolsky District of Tatarstan ). After graduating from seven classes of school and factory apprenticeship, he worked as an assistant mechanic in the river shipping company in Chistopol . In October 1939, Mironov was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since 1942, in the ranks of the army. He graduated from the course of junior lieutenants [1] .
By April 1945, Guards Junior Lieutenant Pavel Mironov commanded a platoon of an anti-tank battery of the 33rd Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 8th Guards Cavalry Division of the 6th Guards Cavalry Corps of the 2nd Ukrainian Front . Distinguished during the liberation of Czechoslovakia . On April 26, 1945, a platoon of Mironov to the north-west of Brno destroyed 1 tank, 4 armored personnel carriers, 2 artillery guns, about 50 soldiers and officers of the enemy. In that battle, Mironov died. Buried in Brno [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1945, guard lieutenant Pavel Mironov was posthumously awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union . He was also awarded the Order of Lenin and World War 2 nd degree [1] .
A street in Chistopol and a motor ship of the Kama River Shipping Company are named after Mironov [1] .
