Biography

Alexey Mironov was born on March 12, 1919 in Nizhneudinsk (now - Irkutsk region ). From an early age he lived in the city of Taiga, Tomsk District (now Kemerovo Region ), where he graduated from eight classes of a school and worked in the Taiga branch of the Tomsk Railway. In September 1938, Mironov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1940 he graduated from the Novosibirsk Military Aviation School of Pilots, in 1942 - Mary Air Force Higher Navigation School. Since June 1942 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .

Towards the end of the Guard War, Captain Alexei Mironov was deputy squadron commander of the 250th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 14th Guards Bomber Air Division of the 4th Guards Bomber Air Corps of the 18th Air Army . During the war, he made 238 sorties to bombard military targets in the deep enemy rear, accumulations of military equipment and manpower, inflicting heavy losses [1] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 18, 1945 for captain Alexei Mironov was awarded the rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold medal Star ” under number 9069 [1] .

After the war, Mironov continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In July 1953, with the rank of major, he was transferred to the reserve. He lived and worked in the city of Bolotnoye, Novosibirsk Region . He died on December 19, 1969, was buried in Bolotnoy [1] .

He was also awarded two Orders of the Red Banner and the Order of the Red Star , along with a number of medals [1] .
