Biography
- In 1971 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics (MMF) of Novosibirsk State University .
- In 1979 he defended his thesis on "Operator equations of the first kind with random errors in the data."
- In 1986 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Incorrect tasks with random data errors."
- Since 1987, he has been working as deputy director for scientific work at the Computing Center of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk).
- In 1990, A. M. Fedotov was awarded the title of professor.
- Since 1995, he has been working as deputy director for research at the Institute of Computational Technologies SB RAS.
- Since 2007, he has been working as the chief researcher at the Institute of Computational Technologies SB RAS and vice-rector for informatization of Novosibirsk State University.
A. M. Fedotov is a specialist in the field of incorrect tasks, information technology, creating distributed information systems, programming automation, and programming training.
Author and co-author of more than 350 scientific works, including 4 monographs, author of interactive teaching aids [1] . Among the students of A. M. Fedotov are 3 doctors and 22 candidates of sciences.
He was awarded the medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", II degree.
He was buried at the Southern (Cherbuzinsky) cemetery in Novosibirsk [2] .
