Dermansko-Ostrozhsky National Nature Park ( Ukrainian: Dermansko-Ostrozky National Natural Park ) is a nature conservation area , a national nature park in Ukraine . It is located on the territory of Zdolbunovsky (partially) and Ostrog regions of the Rivne region .

The park is located in the narrow, eastern part of Lesser Polesie - Ostroh Valley . Covers the territory of the floodplain of the Zbitinka river, flowing between the picturesque hills of the Mizotsky ridge and the Kremenets mountains . The park is located at the border crossing of various physical and geographical areas. Here, a narrow strip of Polessye landscapes of the bottom of the river valley is surrounded by species characteristic of the forest-steppe zone within two elevations - Volyn and Podolsky . An insignificant number of settlements caused the richness of the flora and fauna of the park. Here 47 species of plants grow and 19 species of animals are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine .
Due to its location and variety of landscapes, the Derman-Ostrog National Natural Park is a real decoration of the southern part of the Rivne region.
History
The natural park was created on December 11, 2009 according to the decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko in order to preserve valuable natural territories and historical and cultural objects. The territory of the Dermansko-Ostrozhsky National Natural Park is agreed upon in the established manner, 5448.3 hectares of state property lands are included, namely: 1647.6 hectares of land that are provided (including with the withdrawal from land users) to the national nature park for permanent use, and 3800.7 hectares of land, which are included in its composition without withdrawal.
Creation Process
According to the presidential decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine must:
- provide:
- resolving the issue regarding the formation of the administration of the national natural park “Dermansko-Ostrozhsky” and ensuring its functioning;
- approval within six months in the prescribed manner of the Regulation on the national nature park "Dermansko-Ostrozhsky";
- preparation during 2010-2011 of materials and decisions in accordance with the law on issues related to the removal and permanent use of the Dermansko-Ostrozhsky National Nature Park 1647.6 hectares of land, as well as the development of a land management plan for the allocation of land plots and a land management project for organizing and the establishment of the boundaries of the territory of the national natural park, the receipt of state acts on the right to permanent use of land;
- development during 2010-2012 and approval in the prescribed manner of the Project for the organization of the territory of the national natural park "Dermansko-Ostrozhsky", protection, recreation and recreational use of its natural complexes and objects;
- the preparation in 2010-2012 of materials to expand the territory of the national natural park "Dermansko-Ostrozhsky" on a scientific basis;
- to provide during the finalization of the draft Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2010” and the preparation of draft laws on the State Budget of Ukraine for the next years the funds necessary for the functioning of the national nature park “Dermansko-Ostrozhsky”.
