Acmaeodera latiflava (lat.) Is a species of gold-beetle genus Acmaeodera from the subfamily Polycestinae ( Acmaeoderini ). Distributed in the New World : USA . The fodder plants of adults are Adenostoma sp., Baileya sp., Encelia sp., Eriodictyon trichocalyx , Helianthus gracilentus , Melampodium lecanthum , Opuntia sp., Salvia apiana , S. vaseyi , Sphaeralcea ambigua , Stephanomeria pucififiraiuifiifloi Yu , et al. 1979: 175), and in the larvae , Agave consociata (Knull 1947: 211) [1] [2] [3] . The species was first described in 1907 by the biologist Henry Clinton Fall [4] .
