Acmaeodera griffithi (lat.) Is a species of gold-beetle genus Acmaeodera from the subfamily Polycestinae ( Acmaeoderini ). Distributed in the New World : USA . The food plant for adults is Acacia greggii (Nelson 1965: 37); Cercidium sp., Olneya tesota , Prosopis velutina (Westcott, et al. 1979: 174), and unknown in larvae [1] [2] [3] . The species was first described in 1899 by the biologist Henry Clinton Fall [4] .
