It is located 6 kilometers northeast of the district center of Staritsa , on the right elevated bank of the Volga when the Korzhach stream flows into it. 1 km to the east is the village of Chukavino .
History
In the middle of the XIX century - the owner's village of the Staritsky district of the Tver province .
In 1835-1853, the writer I. I. Lazhechnikov lived and worked in Konoplino, on his estate. Here, visiting Lazhechnikov, there was V. G. Belinsky , N. V. Stankevich and other writers.
Attractions
- Manor Konoplino . The manor house (restored), a park, an old well have been preserved. As of the spring of 2016, the estate territory and the manor house are privately owned, access to the territory is closed.
