Stavros Christoforidis ( Greek: Σταύρος Χριστοφορίδης ) is a Greek biathlete , a participant in two Olympic Games.

Biography
Born in the village of Noes, which subsequently merged with the city of Rothenburg , in Saxony . He started biathlon in 1990 and since then has been a member of the national team. He lives in the Greek city of Drama , trained in Veria . He stands for the sports club "Drama".
Career
The first international start was an individual race at the World Cup stage in Bad Gastein, Austria in 1993, where he finished 132 out of 136 participants. For 15 years, with the exception of the 1996/1997 season, he performed at the stages of the World Cup. The best result is the 73rd place in the individual race at the 2003 World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk .
He took part in three European championships (2000, 2001, 2007). He didn’t finish in half of the races, the 57th place in the sprint in Polish Koscielisko in 2000 became the best.
He made his first European Cup appearance in 2003. Highest achievement - 7th place in the sprint in Bulgarian Bansko in the 2008/2009 season.
Twice (in 2002 and 2006) took part in the Olympic Games. Best result - 83rd place in the sprint on the tracks of Cesano San Sicario in 2006.
The last performance at international competitions was the 2008 World Championships in Ostersund . After that, until 2012, he competed in skiing in the Balkan Cup.
