Club career

Montagno began his career at the club El Nacional . On September 13, 2009, in his match against Porteviejo LDU , he made his debut for the team in Ecuadorian Serie A [1] . On September 20, in a duel against ESPOLI, Edson scored his first goal for the club [2] . In the summer of 2010, Monatagno moved to the Belgian Ghent . On September 25th, in a duel against St. Truiden , he made his debut in the Jupe League [3] . Due to high competition, he soon had to return to his homeland. Edson’s new club is Barcelona from Guayaquil , which won the championship. In early 2013, Montagno on a rental basis returned to his native El Nacional.

International Career

On March 26, 2011, in a friendly match against the Colombian national team, Edson made his debut for the Ecuadorian national team [4] . In the same year, as part of the national team, Montagno took part in the America's Cup . At the tournament, he played in fights against the national teams of Venezuela [5] and Brazil [6] .
