Arenivaga belli (lat.) - a species of sand cockroaches-turtles of the genus Arenivaga from the family Corydiidae (or Polyphagidae ) [1] . Found in North America : USA (California, Nevada, Utah) [2] .

Description
The average size of cockroaches is oval-elongated: body length from 17.7 to 21.2 mm; the largest body width (GW) is 7.6-9.4 mm; pronotum width (PW) 5.32-6.38 mm; pronotum length (PL) 3.66-4.33 mm. The ratio of body length to its largest width in the holotype = TL / GW 2.04. The main color is orange-brown (sandy). They have 2 claws on their paws. The legs of the middle and back pair are covered with spines. [2] . They live in sandy soil, sand dunes. Presumably, like other species of the genus, they feed on mycorrhizal fungi, leaf detritus of desert shrubs, and seeds collected by mammals . Only winged males live in aerial conditions (they are distinguished by pronounced sexual dimorphism : females of the genus Arenivaga are wingless, outwardly resemble woodlice ). The species was first described in 2014 by the American entomologist Heidi Hopkins and named after the biologist William Bell, a cockroach researcher and co-author of Cockroaches: Ecology, Behavior and Natural History [2] .
