Creation History
- The shaman lives in a remote land
- But I'll get a ticket there.
- I will promise the shaman money
- I will promise the shaman money
- And he will hit the old tambourine.
- But I'll get a ticket there.
- Hearing the tambourine, hearing the tambourine
- Spirits will dance by the fire.
- And they will lie to me, and they will lie to me,
- That you love me again.
- Spirits will dance by the fire.

According to the memoirs of Alexander Zatsepin [1] , at the end of 1974 in the Palace of Culture. Gorbunov, he met then little-known singer Alla Pugacheva. He needed a soloist performing songs in movies to which he wrote music. Before that, he worked for many years with Aida Vedischeva and Nina Brodskaya . His new choice fell on the beginner Alla Pugacheva, with whom he later began successful cooperation. The first paintings Zatsepin and Pugacheva worked on were the films “ Between Heaven and Earth ” and “ Center from Heaven ”. Soloist of VIA Ariel Valery Yarushin in his book Destiny by the Name of Ariel mentions that they worked on songs for these films in January 1975 [2] . In addition to the song “Shaman's Tambourine” for the movie “Central from the Heavens” by Pugacheva, the songs “Camel” (with the soloists of VIA “ Jolly Fellows ”), “Ugu-gu”, “Goodbye, Summer” and “Love are to Blame” were recorded.
Pugacheva recalled that during the recording of the song “Shaman's Tambourine” she had a cold and, because of the high octave, at the end of the second verse she plucked her voice for several months. The singer had to restore him for a long time with breathing exercises according to the Strelnikova system. It was not possible to completely restore the voice and she could no longer sing with falsetto [3] .
Studio Recording
The song was recorded once and Pugacheva did not re-record it in the future. Like other songs from the singer’s repertoire to Zatsepin’s music, the song was recorded in the composer's home music studio.
Members of the record:
- Vocal - Alla Pugacheva
- Backing vocals - soloists of VIA "Jolly Fellows" ( Alexander Barykin , Robert Mushkambaryan , Anatoly Alyoshin )
- Instrumental part - instrumental ensemble under the direction of Vitaliy Kleinot
- Arrangement - Vitaliy Kleinot
Soundtrack
Initially, the main role in the film "Center of the Middle Kingdom" - Nina Chelnokova, was to play Pugacheva herself. Even before participating in the festival “Golden Orpheus” at the invitation of director Isaac Magiton at the film studio named after M. Gorky, she took part in photo and film screenings in different images and was soon almost approved for the main role. However, in the end, her candidacy was withdrawn due to age-related discrepancies with the main character, who was supposed to play basketball player Viktor Kretov [4] . As a result, Nina Chelnokova was played by actress Lyudmila Suvorkina, she sang songs in the voice of Pugacheva. In the movie, the song sounds fragmentary - only the refrain [5] . Pugacheva was never included in the concert programs and was never publicly performed.
Editions
The song was first published in 1976 at the minion “ Alla Pugacheva sings songs from the movie“ Center of the Middle Kingdom ” , which is a promotion soundtrack to the film“ Center of the Middle Kingdom ” [6] .
In May 1978, in the form of a double album, Pugacheva’s first solo release “ Mirror of the Soul ” was released, which included her recordings of 1975-1977, including “Shaman's Tambourine”. The song is located on the first side of the first record under number 1 [7] . In September 1978, the first disc of the album was released as a separate release [8] .
In 1978, the song was published on the Bulgarian edition of “Mirrors of the Soul” under the name “Boggled to Stuff” [9] , and in 1980 on the Czechoslovak edition of the first disc of the album called “Zrkadlo duše” [10] .
In 1996, the song was included in the “Collection” of Alla Pugacheva, consisting of 13 CD-ROMs (included in the 10th CD-ROM “It was once”) [11] [12] [13] . Subsequently, the “Collection” was repeatedly reprinted with the inclusion of the song “Shaman's Tambourine” [14] [15] [16] .
In 1996, the song was included in the CD compilation “Alexander Zatsepin. Alla Pugacheva sings " [17] , reissued in 2002 under the title" Alla Pugacheva sings the songs of Alexander Zatsepin " [18] .
