Biography
Abel Storm was born on August 30, 1752 in Kikebusch.
Having received education, he worked as a mathematics teacher in a French French gymnasium [1] . In 1777 he entered as a tutor in the Tatishchev family, near Moscow , then traveled with his pupils to Russia and Europe and described his impressions in the essay: β Observations d'un voyageur sur la Russie, la Finlande, la Livonie, la Courlande et la Prusse "(Berlin, 1785; 2nd ed., In Mastricht, 1787).
Since 1787, he occupied the Department of Mathematics at the Berlin Military Academy.
Honorary member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences since July 28, 1794.
Abel Storm died on February 16, 1816 in the city of Berlin .
