Ayush Mahesh Khedekar ( Marath. आयुष महेश खेडेकर ; Eng. Ayush Mahesh Khedekar ; b. April 5, 2000 in Mumbai , Maharashtra ) - Indian child actor, best known for playing the role of the protagonist (in childhood) in the movie Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Along with other actors of this film, he was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award in the nomination "The best cast in fiction film ."

Biography
Ayush was born in the city of Mumbai, April 5, 2000, in a middle-class family [1] . His father, Mahesh, used to be an actor, but soon after the birth of his son, he left the theater, now works as an engineer in the aviation port. His mother Saili is a high school teacher. Ayush also has a younger brother, Sohan. [2]
From the age of four, Khedekar has appeared in commercials [3] and has participated in commercials of companies such as Colgate , Kelloggs and HDFC Bank In addition, he played on Baa Bahoo Aur Baby , Kayamath , Karam Apna Apna [2] and Fakt Ladh Mhana .
He was famous for making the film Slumdog Millionaire (2008). The film collected at the box office 378 million dollars [4] and was awarded the Oscar for best film . Ayush received a lot of praise from the audience and critics for his role. His performance was also marked by the nomination of the British Independent Film Award for the most promising debut [5] , the in the category “Best Young Performer” in 2008 [6] and the USA Film Actors Guild Award for the best feature film (along with ten other actors) in 2009.
While two other young actors from the Slumdog Millionaire returned to normal life after the shooting, Ayush signed a contract for the shooting of the Indian-Swiss film Secret Shyam [7] and took part in its promotion in Cannes [8] . In 2014, his next film Gandhi of the Month was to be released , in which the famous American actor Harvey Keitel also starred [9] . It is also reported that all three children-actors of the film “Slumdog Millionaire” will reunite in the film Lord Owen's Lady [10] , which is still preparing for the shooting.
