Description
Medium-sized riders: the size of the preserved front wing is 4.20 × 1.70 mm. The venation of the front wing is well developed (with a dozen closed cells). Vein Rs departs very close to the pterostigma . 2r-rs subvertical, connected to the pterostigmus approximately in the middle (0.4) of its length and approximately equal to the pterostigmus in width and half the maximum width of 2rm; 3r about 1.3 times longer than 1 + 2r; 1mcu is in contact with 2rm at the apex; 2rm slightly shorter than 1 + 2r, but slightly longer than 3rm; cu-a interstitial and subparallel to 2r-rs. Presumably, they were parasites of insects living in wood and had tubular and narrow basal first two segments of the metasome, which actually form a stalk between the breast and abdomen (which consists of two segments: petiol + postpetiol). The species was first described in 2008 by Chinese entomologist H. Zhang (State Key Laboratory of Palaeobiology and Stratigraphy, Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences , Nanjing , China ) and Russian hymenopterologist Professor Alexander Pavlovich Rasnitsyn ( Paleontological Institute RAS , Moscow ) [1] [2] [3] [4] .
