Biography

Lees Nilheim grew up in the south of Stockholm, is the daughter of Karl Nilheim , head of one of the Swedish jazz groups.

She entered the drama school of Kalle Fligar and began playing a revue in 1962. In 1964 and 1965 she performed on the stage of the National Theater and during 1964 at the theater in the city of Vaasa . Since 1970, she played in the Stockholm City Theater. In the late 1960s, she starred in the film " What to talk about in the future " (1968) and " Basement " (1969).

In 1975, she performed the role of a single mother, Maria, in the film “ Maria ”. For this role, she received the Golden Beetle Award for Best Actress.

Most famous is her role as Alva's handmaid in film versions of Madiken books.
