Mukhtar Haji oglu Hajiyev (1876-1938) - an Azerbaijani public figure.

Born in 1876 in the Gazakh district of the Elizabethpol province .

Member of the CPSU (b). Primary education. 12.2.1920 - member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Azerbaijan. 05/19/1921 - 04/28/1922 Chairman of the CEC of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan. Prior to his arrest on 06/30/1937 he was an arbiter of the People's Commissariat of Agriculture.

He lived in Baku on the street. Kaganovich, d. 14.

06/30/1937 arrested. Sentenced by the VKVS of the USSR on April 21, 1938 on charges of participating in a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization. 04/21/1938 shot.

Rehabilitated 04/04/1956. He was buried in Butovo-Kommunarka [1] .
