Pygmy python [1] , or Angolan python [1] ( Latin Python anchietae ) is a non-poisonous snake of the genus of real pythons , common in southwestern Africa, in Angola and Namibia .

It reaches a length of 1.83 m. The color is mostly brown, but can be from white to almost black, with a pattern. The belly is yellowish.
Lives in gardens or among shrubs. Active afternoon, hiding in the crevices of the rocks. It feeds on small mammals and birds [2] .
Lays 4-5 eggs. Hatching cubs reach a length of 43–46 cm.
