Afanasyev, Sergey Nikolaevich (director)

He graduated from the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture (1979) and the Moscow Theater School. Schukina (1989).

In 1979-1980 - Director of the club furniture factory number 3 (Novosibirsk); from 1980 to 1982 - service in the ranks of the Soviet army; from 1982 to 1985 - director of the folk theater of the House of Culture. Efremova (Novosibirsk); from 1985 to 1987 - artistic director of the House of Culture of Railway Workers (Novosibirsk).

In 1987, he created his professional theater studio, it included graduates of the Novosibirsk Theater School.

He staged over 60 performances in Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia and France. Laureate of the All-Russian Competition named after V.P. Redlich (1993).

In 2004, he was appointed rector of the Novosibirsk State Theater Institute (NSTI). Since 2011 - President of NSTI ^[1] .

Has experience in the cinema. In 1992 he shot the film "Bitch", and in 2009 - "Idiot".
