Club career

Eric began his career at Viborg , but for several years he was in the systems of more modest Danish clubs. In 2004, Eric returned to the Viborg system, and from 2006 to 2009, he played for the Midtjyllann youth teams. His debut for Midtjylland took place on May 5, 2009 in a match against the Horsens club [2] . It was his only match in his debut season. The following season, he spent five matches and scored a goal for Aarhus [3] . Since the 2010/11 season, Eric has regularly appeared on the field as part of Midtjylland. Svyatchenko was recognized as the best player in the championship of Denmark 2014/15 [4] .

In January 2016 he moved to Celtic , with whom he signed a contract for 4.5 years [5] .

Team Career

Eric played for various youth and youth teams of Denmark. For the youth team of Denmark, he spent eight games and scored two goals.

In 2014, the issue of Svyatchenko’s appearance for the Ukrainian national team was discussed, but the player made a choice in favor of the Danish national team [6] . March 25, 2015 he made his debut in the national team of Denmark in a friendly match against the United States (3: 2). On September 7, he played the first official game for the national team, substituting in the qualifying match of the European Championship in 2016 against the national team of Armenia (0: 0) [7] .
