Etymology
The courtyard is a name-term formed from the basis of the “courtyard” and denoting the place of the former courtyard, the estate. The term “courtyard” also denotes one of the oldest forms of collective land ownership in Belarus [3] .
Geographical position
The courtyard is located 36 km south-west of Osipovichi, 15 km from the railway station Falichi on the Osipovichi- Starye Dorogi line and 169 km from Mogilev . Communications are carried out along the Osipovichi- Shishchitsy highway. The layout of the village consists of three short streets, which are characterized by wooden buildings of the manor type [1] .
History
The foundation of the village of Dvorishche dates back to the early 1920s, when residents of neighboring villages settled on the local former landowner lands. The entry of residents into the collective farm dates back to the 1930s [1] .
During the Great Patriotic War, the Yard was occupied by Nazi troops from the end of June 1941 to June 29, 1944. There are a shop and an elementary school [1] .
