Biography
Born in the family of Khilol Karimov, a famous teacher, author of the first Tajik Soviet alphabet book "Alifbo".
In 1958 he graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov (1958).
Since 1961, at the Institute of Plant Physiology and Biophysics (since 1996, the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, since 1986 - Director). Doctor of Biological Sciences (1974), Professor (1988),
- 1995-2000 - Academic Secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences,
- 2001-2012 - Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
- Since 2012 - Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The author of more than 300 scientific publications. The main areas of research: physiology and biochemistry of plants, crop production.
People's Deputy of the USSR from the All-Union Society "Knowledge" (1989-1991).
Awards and titles
He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor" (1970), Diplomas of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Tajik SSR (1976, 1985), "Nishoni Fakhri" Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan (2005).
Honored Scientist of the Republic of Tajikistan (1996).
