Player Career

Michaud’s career began in the capital's “Syllable”. In 1958, Smaylovich signed a professional contract with Zheleznichar , having played more than 400 matches for him and scored 241 goals. If we take into account only official matches, then he played 190 games and scored 97 goals. Michaud became the top scorer of the First League of Yugoslavia , in the 1962/1963 season, with 18 goals.

Michaud was one of the best forwards of Yugoslavia of that time. In 1963, Smaylovich made his debut in the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina . For her, he spent 4 matches, scoring 1 goal. He scored it, on October 27, 1963, in comrade match against Romania . All journalists called him a gentleman in boots . Due to the fact that Michaud played in a large Yugoslav club, he received little right to play for the national team.

In 1967, Smailovich moved to the Belgian Standard (Liege) . After a season and a half, Michaud returns to Yugoslavia , becoming an Olympia player from Ljubljana . Then, in 1969, to Celik (Zenica) from Zenica , where he completed his career as a player.

Coach Career
