History
The first mention of the village is contained in the Danish land book of the XIII century [2] .
In the village is the noble manor Rahula ( German: Rahhola ), the first mention of which dates back to the 17th century. Initially, it was a secondary manor of Voore , but soon became independent.
In 1741, Anna Leopoldovna gave the lands of Rakhul to Abram Petrovich Hannibal , who rebuilt the manor and appointed her manager of his wife’s brother, Karl Georg von Sheberg [3] . The modern manor building was built in the 19th century [4] [5] .
In 1866, on the basis of the lands of the manor Rahul and Vanamyyz , the Vanamyyza-Rahul volost was created, which existed until 1886 and was divided into two volosts [6] . The independent Rahul volost existed until 1891 [7] and was combined with the Saue volost [8] .
December 5, 1945 the village became part of the village council of Saue [8] .
