Aristobia approximator (lat.) Is a species of a barbel beetle of the genus Aristobia from the subfamily Lamiinae . Found in Southeast Asia ( Vietnam , Cambodia , China - Yunnan, Laos , India - Assam, Malaysia , Myanmar , Thailand ). Medium-sized beetles: body length from 18 to 36 mm. Period of activity: March - October. The species was first described in 1865 (under the original name Celosterna approximator ) by entomologist James Thomson [1] [2] [3] . In 1868 it was included in the genus Aristobia [4] .
