Creation History
The story "Dunechka and Nikita" is based on the biography of Semenov. He was married to Nikita Mikhalkov’s sister. The role of Dunya was played by the eldest daughter of Semenov - Dunya Semenov, niece of Nikita Mikhalkov. Thus, their real prototypes [2] [3] [4] were taken for the main roles of Nikita and Duni.
Criticism
The critic Mikhail Sergeyevich Belyavsky noted the stylistic proximity of the picture to such films as “ I Walk in Moscow ”. He designated this style as “modern” style. Belyavsky believes that, despite the ease of narration, the film raises serious questions, but sometimes the episodes “less significant in meaning and significance” are “figuratively” resolved “more clearly, freshly, originally”. The critic notes the talented play of Gobzeva and Mikhalkov. And in general, he believes that the film is at the stage of searching for a “new, modern cinema language”, which largely determines both the advantages and disadvantages of the picture [5] .
Denis Gorelov from the Theater magazine considered that the pantomime scene was borrowed from the Polish film Goodbye, See You Tomorrow. [6]
