Arrival II was the eldest son of the ban of Arrivals I. As a child, he was held hostage by the Dominicans in order to ensure the loyalty of his father, who at one time passed from Catholicism to the teachings of the Bogomils , but then again became Catholic. After his father, becoming a ban of Bosnia, began to eradicate the teachings of the Bogomils, his son was returned to the family in 1253.
In 1287, Coming I transferred power over Bosnia to his sons. Arrival II began to rule the territory between the rivers Drina and Bosna , that is, western Bosnia, and the eastern one went to his brother Stefan . After the death of Arrivals II in 1290 due to the fact that he had no heirs, Stefan became a ban on all of Bosnia.
