Marianne Saint-Jelly (born February 17, 1990 , Roberval, Quebec , Canada ) is a Canadian short-track player , silver medalist of the 2010 Olympic relay and 500m relay, medalist of the world short track championships.
Sports career
In 2008, she won two bronze medals at the World Junior Championships, and in 2009 she won a similar competition at a distance of 500 m and then burst into the national team of the country. At her profile distance of 500 meters, she won bronze at the 2010 World Cup and became the first in the world cup in the 2010-2011 season , winning all the starts in which she participated. She also tried herself at other distances, becoming the bronze medalist of the 2013 World Cup at a distance of 1,500 meters. Marianna regularly performs in the relay team, in which she won silver medals at the 2010 and 2013 world championships, bronze at the world championships in 2011 [ 1] .
The debut at the Olympic Games took place in 2010 , where she performed at a distance of 500 m and a relay race of 3000 m ( Jessica Gregg , Kalina Roberzh , Marianne Saint-Jelly, Tanya Vicente ), winning silver medals in both disciplines. Moreover, silver in a personal race was won on the day of his twentieth birthday. She gained additional fame after celebrating the gold medal of her friend Charles Amlen [1] .
