About the magazine
The original publisher of the magazine was Emap International Limited; he was then called the Nintendo Magazine System and specialized in the Nintendo Entertainment System consoles, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System , and the Game Boy consoles. The magazine was then renamed Nintendo Magazine . Emap International Limited has been a publisher of the publication for 12 years, but in 2006 Nintendo Magazine became the copyright holder Future plc . Since then, the magazine has been released in the UK under the title Official Nintendo Magazine [1] . Since November 2008, the magazine has been published in Australia and New Zealand [2] [3] .
In early 2011, Official Nintendo Magazine launched a blog sponsored by Colette Barr, Marty Bennett, Chris Rock and John Vekinis. They discuss express their opinions on the new Nintendo and video games in general.
In March 2011, in connection with the start of sales of the new game console Nintendo 3DS , the British version of the magazine has changed; design has changed, new sections and headings have appeared. The first updated issue of Official Nintendo Magazine was released under the heading “ 3D without glasses”. In November 2012, the magazine again changed the design. This was due to the release of the Wii U.
The last issue of the magazine was released on October 14, 2014, after which it ceased to exist, and the employees working on it were distributed to other projects [4] .
