In honor of Svetlana Demina in the city of Tetyushi of the Republic of Tatarstan , the street was named [1] .

Career

She trained under the guidance of Sultan Yarullin [2] and Sergey Demin.

At her first Olympics, Svetlana represented the USSR and participated in a monastery. She missed the next Games , and in 1996 she became the 17th in the double trap. At the Sydney Olympic Games, Demina again appeared in a monastery and won a silver medal, losing only to Azerbaijani Zemfira Meftakhetdinova , who set an Olympic record [3] . At the Games in 2004 and 2008, Svetlana in the monastery became the 9th and 11th, respectively.

Four - time world champion , winner of one silver and three bronze championship medals.
