Biography

Representative of the noble family of the Pushkins . The second son of the Governor Mikhail Fedorovich Pushkin (d. 1607 ). Brothers - Eustathius , Nikita , Leonty and Ivan Menshoy.

In 1574 - 1583 years - the hunter of Tsar Ivan the Terrible . In 1577 - 1578 he participated in the campaign of the Russian army in Livonia.

In 1582, I.M. Pushkin, who received the title of governor of Ryazan, traveled to Warsaw with nobleman Prince Dmitry Petrovich Eletsky to take the oath from the Polish king Stephen Batory in compliance with the terms of the Russian-Polish peace treaty.

In 1586, Ivan Mikhailovich Bolshoi Pushkin escorted from Moscow to Astrakhan the newly arrived Crimean prince Murad Geray . In 1591 - the second governor in Astrakhan with the first governor, Prince Ivan Vasilievich Sitsky .
