History
The broadcasting of the channel on the basis of new 3D technology began on April 3, 2010 with the demonstration of a football match between the teams of Manchester United and Chelsea . In thousands of sports bars in the UK and Ireland, the match was broadcast in 3D technology [1] . October 1, 2010 the channel became available for nationwide broadcasting [2] [3] . On June 9, 2015, the channel stopped broadcasting.
Broadcast Grid
The broadcasting network is composed of films, entertainment programs and sports programs. The broadcast time is 16 hours (from 9 am to 1 am) [4] [5] . Sky 3D has contracts with film studios Walt Disney Pictures , 20th Century Fox , Universal Pictures , Warner Bros. , Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks for showing 3D versions of famous films (for example, in 2009 Avatar was shown in 3D) [2] [7] . Sky 3D participated in the filming of Indian dances at the Saint-Pankras railway station as part of a partnership program between Sky Arts and the English National Ballet [2] . Some 3D content for Nintendo is being promoted and advertised with help from Sky [8] . In June 2011, Kylie Minogue concerts were shown on Sky 3D.
