Biography
On June 29, 1944, Marko Jozinovic was ordained a priest in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Sarajevo . In 1945, he was arrested by the communist authorities and spent six years in prison in the city of Zenica . Since 1961 he studied in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University , where in 1964 he defended his thesis for the title of Doctor of Philosophy. Since 1969, being the rector of the cathedral in Sarajevo, he taught moral theology at the Catholic seminary in Sarajevo.
On June 27, 1977, Pope Paul VI appointed Marko Josinovic as Archbishop of Vrhbosny. On October 23, 1977, Marco Jozinovic was ordained bishop by the titular archbishop of Aquileia and the apostolic pro-nuncio in Yugoslavia, Michele Cecchini, accompanied by the archbishop of Zagreb Franjo Kuharic and Bishop of Mostar-Duvno Petar Chile.
April 19, 1990 resigned.
He died on August 11, 1994 in Dubrovnik.
