Biography

Born October 12, 1970 in the city of Novosibirsk in a family of students.

In his youth, in the city of Ishim, Tyumen Region, he graduated from a children's art school under the guidance of G. I. Sharapov.

In 1992, he graduated from the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami with a degree in Teacher of Drawing, Drawing and Labor.

Over the years, Dmitry Novakov worked as a teacher at the school, as a designer , sculptor , and guide .

Since 1996, engaged in creative art and exhibition activities.

Since 2003, begins to work as a sculptor .

He has many solo exhibitions of graphic and sculptural works. The works are in private collections in the USA , Australia , Germany , England , Finland , Turkey , Japan , Korea , Uzbekistan , and other countries, as well as in museum collections in Russia , Japan, Turkey.

Member of the Creative Association of Artists of the Graphics Section at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan since 2002.

In 2004-2005 He was the acting chairman of the graphics section of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Since December 2008, has Russian citizenship .

Since May 2014, lives and works in St. Petersburg .

Creativity

In 1999, Dmitry Novakov was among the winners of the competition in the field of art and culture with the project “Exhibition of graphic works on the themes of the tales of H.K. Andersen ” from the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation (Soros Foundation).

In 2004, Dmitry Novakov won the The Citation prize at the The Yomiuri International Cartoon Contest Section in Tokyo, Japan , and was awarded a medal.

In 2004, became the owner of two alternative prizes - “Maestro” and “Golden Pencil” from the graphic section of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan as the best graphic artist of the year.

Since 2004, actively collaborates with the Ishim Museum of History and Art.

From 2004 to 2008, Dmitry Novakov created sculptural compositions “Repentance”, “Inspiration”, “Maria” and others for the Ishim Museum of History and Art. In 2005, the author donated 17 of his graphic works to the Ishim Museum of History and Art.

In 2007, D. Novakov donated to the library-branch No. 16 of Tyumen (20a Olimpiyskaya St.) the reinforced concrete relief “Baron K. F. I. von Munchausen”, which was installed later, in 2010, in the interior of the library.

In 2008, D. Novakov created bronze-tinted reinforced concrete reliefs of Russian writers A.P. Chekhov and P.P. Ershov. Relief "A. P. Chekhov ”was installed on the facade of the house number 9 (K. Marx street) of Ishim city (on the site of a modern residential building, there was a house in which the writer stayed in 1890). An exact copy of the relief "A. P. Chekhov ”was installed in the interior of one of the libraries of the city of Tyumen, today the library bears the name of A. P. Chekhov. Relief "P. P. Ershov ”was installed in 2009 on the main facade of the building of the P. P. Ershov Museum (Sovetskaya St., 30) in Ishim.

In 2010, the name of Dmitry Viktorovich Novakov was included in the encyclopedia of the city of Ishim, as the name of a person who made a significant contribution to the life of the city in the field of art and culture.

In 2012, on the facade of a new residential building in the city of Ishim, a sculptural object - “Sparrow Monument” - was installed in memory of the cut down trees.

2000 - The first solo exhibition abroad. Exhibition "Open House". Woodstock. State of Georgia. U.S.

2001-2003 - Participation in the International Competition "Bolognafiere" ( Bologna , Italy ) for the most beautiful illustrations for children's books.

2002 - Participation in the exhibition "Watercolor, drawing" in the Center for Contemporary Art ( Tashkent . Uzbekistan );

Participation in a charity project, in an exhibition of works of art, the proceeds from the sale of which went to treat sick children. (Embassy of the Republic of Poland . Tashkent . Uzbekistan .);

Participation in the organization and participation in the Art-Synthesis graphic exhibition in the Central Exhibition Hall of the city of Tashkent ( Uzbekistan );

The second personal exhibition of graphics at the A. Nazarov Medical Center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

2003 - The third solo exhibition of graphics "Plastic of the moment" in the Central Exhibition Hall of Tashkent ( Uzbekistan ).

2004 - Participation and victory in the competition "The Yomiuri International Cartoon Contest" Section. Prize "The Citation". 2005 - A large-scale solo exhibition of graphics, sculpture and small plastics “Plasticity of the moment — 3” in the museum of local lore in Tyumen ( Russia ). Presented more than fifty works.

2007 - Personal exhibition "Andersen's World". Central City Library of the city of Tyumen ( Russia ), active participation in its organization. Twelve illustrations for the tales of H.K. Andersen are presented.

2008 - Personal charity exhibition “ Andersen ’s World” in the museum of local lore of the city of Nizhny Tavda ( Tyumen Region . Russia ).

2010 - Participation in the international exhibition dedicated to the German writer E. T. A. Hoffmann . A plaster bust of the writer is presented. Kaliningrad Russia

Participation and prize "For Asceticism" in the international exhibition dedicated to the Danish writer H.K. Andersen . Presented are twelve illustrations for fairy tales and a plaster bust of the writer. Kaliningrad Russia

2011 - Participation in the competition of layouts of monuments in the city of Ishim . The models of the monuments “ P.P. Ershov ”, “ Chekhov Walking”, “Guardian Angel” are presented.

2013 - Participation in the contest of layouts of the monument to Andrei Rublev in St. Petersburg . Three models are presented - “Andrei Rublev”, “Illumination”, “Flour of Creativity”.
