Korost (Moscow region)

Korost is a village in the Klinsky district of the Moscow region , as part of the Vozdvizhensky rural settlement [3] . The population is 34 [1] people. (2010). Until 2006, Korost was part of the Vozdvizhensky rural district [4]

The village is located in the northwestern part of the district, near the border with the Tver region , about 20 km northwest of the Klin district center, on the left bank of the Yauza river [5] , the height of the center above sea level is 141 m [6] . The nearest settlements are Volovnikovo on the opposite bank of the river and Chernyatino adjoining in the west. The regional highway 46K-0280 (highway M10 "Russia" - Vysokovsk ) passes through the village [7] .
