Marinus Kraus ( German: Marinus Kraus , born February 13, 1991 ) is a German ski jumper , the 2014 Olympic champion in the team championship [1] .

Career
Kraus began his career as a biathlete .
In 2014, he won team gold at the Olympics in Sochi along with Zeverin Freund , Andreas Wellinger and Andreas Wank [1] . Moreover, Kraus brought his team the most points among his partners. In the first round he scored 136.1 points (the best among the Germans), and in the second 132 (second only to his partner Andreas Welling ).
The athlete also performed in the individual championship on the big springboard . He took fourth place in the qualification, jumping 130 meters and gaining 120.2 points. In the final, he significantly improved his results: in the first round he flew by 131 meters, in the second - by 140 meters. Moreover, among all in the second round he became the second, and by the results took the sixth place [2] . In total, he scored 257.4 points.
