Location

The village of Podluzhye is located in the northern part of the Yegoryevsk district, about 3 km north of the city of Yegoryevsk. 1 km south of the village, the Vatazhenka River flows. Altitude 137 m [2] .

Title

In written sources, the village is referred to as repairing Zaluzhsky (1544), Novopochinok, and Zaluzhsky identity (1646). Since 1705, the name Podluzhye was assigned to the village.

The name Zaluzhsky suggests that the repair was tinned, that is, turned into a meadow. The name Novopochinok indicates that the arable land was reclaimed again, and Podluzhye speaks of the plowing of a place that was "under the meadow" [3] .

History

Before the abolition of serfdom, the villagers belonged to the category of state peasants [4] .

After 1861, the village became part of the Nechaevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district. The parish was in the city of Yegoryevsk [5] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Aleshin village council of the Yegoryevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district [6] .

Until 1994, Podluzhye was part of the Efremovsky village council of the Egorievsky district, and in 1994-2006. - Efremov rural district [7] .

Population

In 1885, 141 people lived in the village [8] , in 1905 - 161 people (72 men, 89 women) [9] , in 1926 - 110 people (39 men, 71 women) [6] . According to the 2002 census , 10 people (3 men, 7 women) [10] .
