Verkhne-Kurmoyarsky district is an administrative-territorial unit of the Stalingrad Territory and the Stalingrad Region , which existed in 1935-1950. Center - the village of Verkhne-Kurmoyarskaya .

The Upper Kurmoyarsky District was formed as part of the Stalingrad Territory on January 25, 1935 from parts of the Kotelnikovsky and Nizhne-Chirsky Districts.
The region included village councils: Aginovsky, Verkhne-Kurmoyarsky, Generalovsky, Dorofeevsky, Kireevsky, Krasnoyarsky, Kudinovsky, Kumsky, Nagavsky, Novo-Aksaysky, Novo-Yabloko, Potemkinsky, Podstepinsky, Staro-Nagavsky, Chausovsky (from Kotelnikov) and Romansky (from the Nizhne-Chirsky district).
On January 29, 1935, the Balabanovsky, Komarovsky and Chepuryevsky c / s of the Tormosinovsky district were added to the Verkhne-Kurmoyarsky district. On May 29, the Kumsky s / s was transferred to the Voroshilovsky district .
On December 5, 1936, the Verkhne-Kurmoyarsky district began to belong to the Stalingrad region.
December 14, 1949 Kireevsky s / s was annexed to Nagavsky. January 14, 1950 Podstepinsky s / s was attached to Novo-Aksaysky.
On September 20, 1950, the Verkhne-Kurmoyarsky district was abolished, and its territory was divided between the Voroshilovsky, Kotelnikovsky, and Nizhne-Chirsky districts.
