General Information

Peter is one of two children of Reinhard and Maria Goyevchikov; his sister's name is Alexandra.

German in tennis since the age of four; favorite cover is hard; favorite hits - backhand on the line and forehand through the whole court.

Sports career

2014

Goyevchik began the year making his way to his first semi-final in Doha as a qualifier, defeating 6 seeded and countryman Philip Kolschreiber during the tournament before losing to Rafael Nadal in three sets, although he led 1-0.

After qualifying for the Australian Open, he made his way to the top 100 for the first time in his career.

In April, he defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in five sets in the quarter-final Davis Cup match.

Peter reached the quarterfinals in Halle in June, defeating Milos Raonic of the world in the second round.

At the US Open, he defeated Benjamin Becker in the first round.

At the end of the season, 79th place in the ATP ranking was taken.

2018 season

A participant in the quarterfinal match at the ATP tournament in Doha Qatar (from 01.01 - 01.01).

At the ATP tour tournament in Auckland - New Zealand (from 07.01 to 13.01) Peter reached the quarter finals, where he lost to Robin Haase.

In February, at a tournament in Delray Beach , Peter managed to get to the final match, in which he lost to American tennis player Francis Tiafo . During the tournament, the German knocked out Lukasz Lacko , John Isner , Reilly Opelka and Steve Johnson from the fight.
