Etoile Filant du Togo is a professional Togolese football club from Lome . The home stadium of the team is Oscar Anthony. The name of the club translates as “Togo shooting star”, the club is often called “meteors”.

History
Etoile Filant is the first champion of Togo ; in total, the club has seven championship titles, six of which were won in the first decade of the existence of the tournament (60th). The club also won the national cup four times, two of which even before the independence of Togo. In 1960, the club won the last French West Africa Cup, defeating the Malian “ Stud Mallen ” in the final with a score of 2: 1.
In the international arena, the club's highest achievement is reaching the final of the African Champions Cup 1968 , where the Etoile Filant lost to the Congolese TP Mazemba . In the first match, the team from DR Congo took off all the questions about the winner of the tournament, defeating the opponent with a score of 5: 0. Nevertheless, the club from Togo was able to adequately respond by beating the opponent with a score of 4: 1. In other continental tournaments, the club did not go beyond the first round.
On November 26, 2011, some of the team's players died or were injured in a bus accident near Atakpame during a trip to the match [1] .
