Population
According to the 2000 census [1], the population was 1,562 people, 409 families lived in the city, there were 715 households and 838 buildings with a building density of 371.9 buildings per km². The population density of 1793.8 people per km². Racial composition of the population: white - 94.88%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 1.15%, Asians - 0.19%, representatives of other races - 2.56%, representatives of mixed races 1.22%. Hispanics accounted for 5.83% of the population.
In 2000, the average household income was $ 24,375 USD , the average household income was $ 34,107 USD . Men had an average income of $ 25,385 USD , women $ 16,339 USD . The average per capita income was $ 13,890 USD .
