Prokofy Ivanovich Manzhura was born in 1870 in the village of Volchya Balka, in the Kirovograd region in Ukraine. 1914 - being a biblical worker arrested for the Adventist faith and exiled to Yeniseisk for 25 years. 1917 - amnestied due to the revolution in Russia. Before the retreat, the ASD was the chairman of the Voronezh field and a member of the All-Union Council of ASD. Since 1921 - served the field of Russia and Ukraine. 1924 - at the Fifth Congress, he was a delegate from the Southern Region. Union (Caucasus, with a center in Rostov). 1936 - was appointed chairman of the WASD. P.I. Manzhura spent 13 years in this post. 1945 - 1946 - was in bonds together with V.A. Silk in the Caucasus. 1949 - December 3, died at the 80th year of life in a prison hospital in the Gorky region at the Sukhobezvodnaya station.
After his death, V.A.Shelkov became the head of the VASD.
