Churkin Boris Sergeevich (April 24, 1937, Sysert , Sverdlovsk Region , RSFSR , USSR - March 30, 2011, Yekaterinburg , Russia ) - Soviet inventor , associate professor, professor, doctor of technical sciences, full member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation and the Academy of Professional Education of the Russian Federation [1] .

Biography

In 1959 he was educated at the Ural Polytechnic Institute. S. M. Kirov. He graduated with a degree in " Foundry of ferrous and non-ferrous metals" [2] .

From 1959 to 1964 he worked at the factories Uralelectrotyazhmash and Botkin Engineering Plant . He was a foreman and head of the technology bureau of foundries [3] .

From 1966 to 1988 he worked as an assistant, associate professor, professor of the Ural Polytechnic Institute .

From 1982 to 1988 - Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy.

In 1968 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences. And in 1981, doctors of technical sciences.

In 1988, Boris Sergeyevich began working at the Sverdlovsk Engineering and Pedagogical Institute (now RSPPU ), where he organized the department of automation and technology of foundry processes, which he headed.

Since 1985, a member of the dissertation council on technical sciences at USTU-UPI.

Died March 30, 2011 in Yekaterinburg. He was buried in the Northern cemetery .

Scientific activity

Under the scientific supervision, 4 doctors and 20 candidates of sciences were trained. Currently, 3 candidates are preparing to defend.

Prepared and lectured in the disciplines “Theory of foundry processes”, “Foundry hydraulics and thermal physics”, “Foundry technology”, “Theory and practice of enterprise management”, “Physical chemistry and theory of metallurgical processes”, “Logic” [2] .

  • Gold medal of the All-Union Exhibition of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR [1] .
