Popolev in winter
Until 1972, the village bore the Chinese name Yang-Mut-Houza . The Ussuri River in the upper reaches was also called Yan-Mut-Houza . [2]
Geography
Located on the left bank of the Ussuri River at the confluence of the small mountain river Topoleva on the left.
From Topolevoy to the district center Chuguevka there is a highway (via Arkhipovka , Verkhnyaya Breevka , Izvilinka , Bulyga-Fadeevo and Sokolovka ). The distance to Chuguevka is about 96 kilometers.
Up along Ussuri from Topolevoi is the village of Yasnoe .
