Sedzhuik - a city in the US state of Kansas , located in two districts: Harvey and Sedzhuik . As of 2010 , the population of the city is 1,695 people. [2]

History
Before the arrival of Europeans, the land of Kansas was inhabited by Indian tribes. In 1803, most of modern Kansas passed to the United States as part of the purchase of Louisiana . In 1861, Kansas became the 34th US state . In 1867, Sejik District was founded. In 1872, Harvey County was founded.
The city of Sejujik (as well as the district ) was named in honor of John Sejuk , a major general of the army of the northern states during the Civil War .
