Zapod (also Zapot ; alb. Zapod ; serb. Zapod / Zapod ) is a community in northeast Albania . It is part of the county of Kukes . It is part of the historic area of Horus . Zapod is one of two communities in Albania (along with the Shishtevats community), the indigenous population of which are members of the Islamized South Slavic ethnic group Gorans [1] .

The population of the community is 2,217 people (as of 2011) [2] . According to the 2001 census, 2,958 people lived in the Zapod community [3] .
The community consists of 7 settlements:
- Belya
- Kosharishte
- Leyma
- Ochikle
- Orgosta
- Pakisha
Of these, Kosharishte, Ochikle, Orgosta and Pakisha are Goransky villages; Belya and Leyma - Albanian [1] . According to the Bulgarian linguist Stefan Mladenov , who visited the Gore region in 1916 during an expedition to Macedonia and Pomorav'ye, in Ochikle village, along with Goransky dialects , Albanian language began to spread - Goran village was, in the opinion of Stefan Mladenov, in the initial stage of Albanization [4] .
