Guillaume Bastille (born July 21, 1985 , Riviere-du-Loup , Quebec , Canada ) is a Canadian short-track player , 2010 Olympic relay champion .
Biography
He began to skate at the age of six. Guillaume Bastille studies at the University of Montreal (Université de Québec à Montréal) [1] .
Sports career
In 2005, he took part in the World Junior Short Track Championship , where he became a bronze medalist in the relay team as part of the Canadian team. Member of the national team since 2009. Repeated winner and medalist of the relay of the World Cup [1] .
The debut at the Olympic Games took place in 2010 , where he performed at a distance of 1500m (disqualified in the first attempt), as well as in the semifinal of the 5000m race. He did not take part in the winning Olympic final [1] .
